About Me
Yoga has been a part of my life since I attended my first class in my early twenties. Following the change of direction that motherhood often brings, I chose in my early thirties to pursue my dream of becoming a qualified yoga teacher. I trained for 4 years with the British Wheel of yoga, undertaking a foundation course followed by the highest level of teaching diploma. I now have over a decade of experience in teaching classes and running workshops both in-person and online.
I have taught classes for Celtic Leisure in Neath and Port Talbot since 2014 and have also run regular yoga workshops in Briton Ferry Community Hall throughout that time. As my knowledge and understanding of the many facets of yoga have deepened, so have the bonds of friendship and community within the wide-ranging group of yogis who practice with me. The word yoga is most commonly translated as meaning to unite and, above all else, finding myself the beating heart of a yoga sangha that provides so much support, wellbeing, friendship, fun and joy to all who find their way to it is the greatest gift yoga has given me.

My classes are Hatha based but also draw on over 20 years experience of other styles of yoga, including Yin, Vinyasa Flow and Restorative Yoga. With a focus on functional mobility, strength, stamina and flexibility, they are intelligently sequenced with deep attention to the breath and to the vital importance of calming the nervous system, allowing the mind and the body to let go of accumulated stress.
My Celtic Leisure classes cater to a range of levels, from beginners to more experienced yogis and my chair yoga classes are hugely popular with those who are rehabilitating from injuries or looking for a gentler form of yoga with no requirement to get on and off the floor.

Take a browse through my website and you'll find information on Menopause Yoga, in which I have a qualification, as well as information on my weekend workshops, weekly classes and yoga retreats.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or queries and I hope to see you on the mat very soon.
